When not taking Photographs

n my free time you might find me making sporrans with a friend in his basement workshop. We have done this since 2003 and this is our 143rd . So If pressed I’d say it was my second hobby next to photography.

Photo wise this was taken on our dining room table (Re-claimed wood) with my iPad lighting from the side and bounce flash from the ceiling.

A little departure from my usual style. A straight shot. I have just cropped a bit on the right hand side. added a frame and smart sharpened in PS CC. No colour adjustments no selective colouring and no black and white conversion.I loved this shot as it was. Why mess with it.

How Does Your Garden Grow ?

Having invested in Adobe Creative Cloud I thought I’d sit down and learn my way around. This shot seemed a good choice for a bit of history brush practice. I added a frame in black to finish off. Not bad for a relative newbie to PS.

At the New forest show on what must have been the hottest day this year I saw a stand by a local funeral director. I was surprised by the diversity of choice and admit to a little morbid fascination.
A little macabre. But what a cool way for a cycle enthusiast to go to his or her last resting place. No emissions and even the coffin is a thick blanket like material.
