I little while ago I attend a lecture given by fellow member of society I happen to also be a member of here in Norway. The subject was Scottish Basket hilted swords. I think this shot captures his passion for his subject and, collection .
Nikon 24-70 f/2.8
ISO 3200 no flash used.
I’ve been away from my blog for a long time. Time, work and other interests have eaten into the time I had. I have however posted once a week to the wonderful Monchromia blog. If you haven’t found it yet follow the link. There are many talented photographers there. It’s all run by the nicest man I’ve never met Joe.
My interests lie mostly in film photography but digital has its place. I shot mostly to convert to black and white as that is what I understand best. you’ll find splashes of colour here but not many.
My aim is at least to post once a week or more. so see out there…
A fishing boat waits patiently for a day out besides a deserted café
The harbour in winter is spookily devoid of people . You see the evidence of them just not the people themselves. I wanted to bring that emptiness into the photos I took.
Another shot I took while walking around the harbour in Hals. The light and dark tones were what first attracted me to this still life shot.
The contrast between the packing case and the rest of the scene makes the shot for me.
I think there is always something sad about a boat on land. They just don’t belong.
The nets are ready for a days fishing.
