he fifth SS Rotterdam, known as “The Grande Dame”, was launched by Queen Juliana in a gala ceremony on 13 September 1958, and completed the following summer. The Rotterdam was the last great Dutch “ship of state”, employing the finest artisans from the Netherlands in her construction and fitting out process.[2] Her career spanned forty-one years. She sailed from 1959 until her final retirement in September 2000.

I’ve been in Denmark or to be more precise Skagen Home of artist and painter PS krøyer.
The Sand worm, Denmark northern most point where two seas meet. You can hitch a ride on the Sand worm or walk along the beach. We hitched a ride.

As My Car Cemetery shots are popular here is the full series so far. I’m planning a return visit somtime this year.
A collection of shots from my trip to Båstnäs in Sweden to photograph the Car cemetery there. The shots are both Analogue and digital. Camers used include a Nikon F4s with a Nikkor 20mm f2.8 a Leica MP with a 35mm f1.4 ASPH and, an Apple iPhone 4.
