Over Her shoulder

Over Her shoulder

She looked back. What’s on her mind?

I took my Leica MP, with me the day I purchased my M9-P the following are some shots I took that day using T-Max 100asa which had expires in 1997. Exposed at 50 ASA and stand developed in Caffenol C L for 1 hour and 10 mins at 20˙C(What can I say I’m lazy and wanted to watch the Giro d’Italia at the same time:0). Gentle inversions for the first minute and then three at the half way point.
I used the following recipe:
500 ml Water
8g Washing Soda (Stabil from Menu)
5 g Vitamin C (Askorbinsyra Santa Maria  from Sweden)
20g Instant coffee (first price gut rot)
0,5 g KBr

Emily (M9-P)

Emily (M9-P)

My daughter and son are usually my first subjects when I get a new camera or lens. Here’s Emily tired and full of freckles after a day of sunshine. Taken at f/1.4 in the evening when the sun was going down. I’ve added a slight sepia finish to the shot via Silver Efex Pro II

Telephone Girl

Telephone Girl

A pure hipshot which I rather liked so haven’t deleted it . I think it has something. What do you think?

This time I used my D800 to take the portrait with my 24-70. All conversion work was done using Nik Silver Efex Pro 2.

The thing I like about this shot of my daughter is that despite being taken with my D800 it still has a film like quality to it .

The above is the result I got using Adox Adonal I think I have found another developer that fits with my lazy style in the darkroom.
This is a hurried test shot of my daughter . I used Rollei 80s 120 film in my Hasselblad. I developed my film as follows at 20°C:-
Adox Adonol 1:100 (That’s 495mls water to 5 ml Adonal)
Inversions for the first minute. Then left to stand 29 mins then 3 more inversions and left to stand for a further 30mins. Stopped with water for one minute inversions constantly and then Fixed 5mins (T-Max fixer)and washed for 10mins.
