Hello again.

Autosave-File vom d-lab2/3 der AgfaPhoto GmbH

I’ve been away from my blog for a long time. Time, work and other interests have eaten into the time I had.  I have however posted once a week to the wonderful Monchromia blog. If you haven’t found it yet follow the link. There are many talented photographers there. It’s all run by the nicest man I’ve never met Joe.

My interests lie mostly in film photography but digital has its place. I shot mostly to convert to black and white as that is what I understand best. you’ll find splashes of colour here but not many.

My aim is at least to post once a week or more. so see out there…

Waiting

Another shot I took while walking around the harbour in Hals. The light and dark tones were what first attracted me to this still life shot.

The contrast between the packing case and the rest of the scene makes the shot for me.

Nets

20150225-untitled shoot-6-Edit-EditThe nets are ready for a days fishing.

Tied Up

Tied Up

One of the shots from my recent trip to Denmark. I choose to shoot with my Hasselblad 203FE and 80 mm lens. I took along some T-Max 400 asa and shot off four rolls in the short time I had.
The film was developed in T-max soup for 6mins and 45 secs at 20°C. The Negatives were scanned using my Epson V700 and Betterscanning.com holder.

A little change of pace:
Adox CMS 20 first try. 120 roll film exposed at 12 ASA. This exposure was 1.5 seconds. Taken on my Hasselblad 203 FE with a Carl Zeiss 80mm FE on E56 extension tube.
Developed in Adotech II mixed at 1+29 = 500ml=17+483 ml for 8.5 mins at 20˙C .
Stopped with Ilfostop for 1 min and fixed with T-max fixer for 30 seconds.Wash as normal 10 mins.
Scanned using my V700 and betterscanning.com holder and Silverfast SW

The Shape of things to come.

The Shape of things to come.

I’ve been under the weather this past week and I’m just getting back in my stride again. One of the things I did before I was swept away by bronchitis was order som Adox CMS20. A film I have wondered about for sometime. A 20 ASA film which judging by the results Ive seen others produce is best exposed and 16 asa or below. Special developer, and only a few seconds fixing.Sounds like a challenge.

Worldwide Pinhole Day Balls of Steel

Worldwide Pinhole Day Balls of Steel

Here is my last shot from Worldwide Pinhole day. This time I really got some “Lens flare”, if you can call a little hole a lens. As you can see the sun shone at an angle to the camera and there is some internal reflections going on. Gave a strange effect I wasn’t expecting.

Vermeer pinhole camera 2nd try. Living in Norway you are never too far from a river or stream. This one is a short 15 minute drive from my home. I set the Vermeer up on a tripod and took a light reading which was 57 sec and 100ASA .
Not a bad shot considering the weather which was overclouded.
