It felt good again to use my MP. It was loaded with Fuji Reala . This shot was taken at f1.4 indoors at some ridiculously slow speed . What makes the shot for me is the light on his spectacle frames. I really love shooting film:0)

Tales From the Kitchen Sink.
Meet my big sister … She’s not that big just a bit older (Blimey am I in trouble).
I thought I’d share this shot. It has a story to it like all other shots we, as hobby photographers take. However it’s about the film, and not my sister.
This was the first roll of film that I’d ever shot with a Leica. I was all excited to get my first roll of Ilford XP2 to the lab (45 mins service) and see the results I managed to get with this legend of a camera.
Being a Leica novice at the time, I thought that I had rewound the film completely. I was wrong. When I removed the base of my MP, I saw some of the film still around the take-up spool. I said a few words not repeatable here and wound the film off,and threw it in my bag and forgot about it for months.
A few months later I was emptying out my bag when this film rolled out and lay on the floor. Well long story short, I got it developed. Lets just say I had a few surprises in store. The film is grainy, and there are lots of light leaks . But to my eyes there were a couple of gems on that forgotten roll.
This is one of them, and is my favorite shot of my sister.

Stupid ,Stupid,Stupid!
Ok, lets get this out of the way. I went to Oslo today together with my family. Everything was going well until I wanted to take a picture with my Nikon D800.I composed and took my shot only to see “sample image” come up on the screen. I popped the SD slot cover and you guessed it No cards. I said a few choice words and put the large paperweight I was now carrying back in my backpack. Buying a new SD card was out,I have several at home and to be honest wanted to use my cash on other things today. Luckily I had my Leica MP with me so I did take a couple of shots but they aren’t in the soup as yet.
Next I was in a well known camera shop in Oslo and an America woman spoke to me She had drawn a self portrait on a Wacom tablet and was very pleased with the result. She looked familiar as did the Danish Gentleman she was with. After congratulating her on the result and moving on it suddenly dawned on me it was Joy Villa and Thorsten Overgaard. Joy is modelling for Thorsten at present I believe. I didn’t get to speak to Thorsten . It would have been nice just to say hello and tell him I like his work….. Blast it it’s been an awful day Photographically.
